There are so many recipes out there for Worcestershire sauce. Many of them contain apples or other sweeteners that increase the carbohydrate content.

The recipe we use is fairly basic and is a really zingy, delicious, low carb version of the traditional Worcestershire sauce.

We use this sauce to flavour our steaks and to flavour fried mushrooms with buttery Worcester sauce, and to marinate meat for a few hours before cooking.

It has such a great flavour. You could definitely add some natural erythritol or stevia-based sweetener if you desire.

It is also classed as an anti-inflammatory which is great for inflammatory diseases such as PCOS, Endometriosis, autoimmune disease and arthritis.

Paprika has use in so many recipes, both sweet and savoury.

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp Soy Sauce or liquid/coconut aminos
  • 3 Tbsp White Vinegar or Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp Water
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Mustard Powder
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon ground
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper black, ground
  • 2 tsp Paprika plain or smoked

Instructions

  • Place all the ingredients in a Nutri-bullet style appliance or using an emersion/stick blender and blend until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
  • Place mixture in a small saucepan on low to medium heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes. 
  • Let the mixture cool before storage. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. The flavours will develop further over time.
